What is a hair transplant?
Hair transplant is a type of hair restoration procedure that allows you to grow full and natural hair in a bald or thinning area. During a hair transplant procedure at Hair Doc, Dr. Panagotacos and Dr. Chen remove follicles from a region of your scalp with healthy and thick hair growth and implants them where you need them.
Before hair transplant surgery, Dr. Panagotacos and Dr. Chen inject local anesthesia to numb your scalp. He may also give you the option to take a sedative before the procedure starts, which settles your anxiety without putting you to sleep.
Blood vessels grow around the transplanted follicles as they heal, giving them the oxygenated blood supply they need to grow healthy hair. After a few months of growth and healing, you enjoy a full head of hair that’s all your own.

Follicular unit extraction (FUE)
During FUE, Dr. Panagotacos and Dr. Chen use a micro punch tool to extract individual follicular units one at a time. You can also get FUE using the ARTAS® iX robotic hair transplant system, which is highly precise.
Follicular unit transplantation (FUT)
During FUT, Dr. Panagotacos and Dr. Chen harvest many follicles at one time by surgically removing a strip of skin from a part of your scalp with lots of hair growth. He removes the follicles from that strip and implants them in the balding or thinning region.
Can I benefit from a hair transplant?
